Barbados steps up swine fever defence
In a bid to strengthen the island’s defenses against the highly contagious swine fever virus, Barbados has stepped up its efforts to detect and respond to outbreaks. The government has increased the frequency of swine fever testing at slaughterhouses and markets, as well as implemented new protocols for monitoring and controlling infected animals.
